Biography
I’m a Solicitor in our Military Injury Team based in our Manchester office.
I deal with Armed Forces Compensation Scheme claims. My role involves assisting both serving military personnel and veterans who have suffered injuries as a result of service.
What Inspired You To Get Into Law?
I actually fell into law by chance really.
I knew that I wanted to attend University but I was not sure what I wanted to study. I remember browsing the whole catalogue of courses Liverpool John Moores University offered and the only course that really interested me was Law, and so I took a chance and enrolled.
From the first day at University I was hooked and my legal career took off from there.
What Is The Most Rewarding Aspect Of Your Role?
I get great satisfaction from being able to assist clients through what can be a complicated and confusing legal process.
When we receive a positive outcome at the end of a claim, which often results in a life changing outcome for the client, this is what I find the most rewarding aspect of my role.
What Do You Like About Working At Irwin Mitchell?
There is a real sense of community throughout the whole of Irwin Mitchell which I enjoy.
Also I am working with individuals who are real experts in their field. It’s great to learn from those who have a wealth of experience and determination to get the right outcome for clients.
What Do You Do Away From The Office?
I enjoy family days out with my partner and my daughter, and my golden Labrador called Rosie.
I also enjoy keeping fit and going to gym classes with my friends.
I also recently enrolled in a language course to learn Spanish.
