Many of the cases I handle are highly complex and sensitive, often involving difficult and contested issues of what caused the injury and who was responsible.

For example, I have led cases where the main issue was whether a neurological injury was caused by shortcomings in neonatal treatment and resuscitation. These claims needed careful analysis of competing expert evidence across neonatology, neurology, and neuroradiology.

Alongside this, I act in cases where I have secured early admissions of liability where consequences are profound, including birth injury claims where a short but critical delay in managing labour led to catastrophic injury. I’ve also secured substantial settlements in cases involving severe, lifelong disability, combining significant lump sums with ongoing payments to fund care, therapy and accommodation.

Across these matters, my role is to distil complex medical evidence into a clear and compelling case, and to drive the litigation forward to achieve outcomes that provide long-term security for my clients and their families.

I take a structured and evidence‑driven approach to every case, starting with a detailed investigation of what happened and identifying the key issues as early as possible. I work closely with leading independent experts to build a clear understanding of whether the care fell below an acceptable standard and if that made a difference to the outcome.

From there, my focus is on shaping a case that’s both strong and clearly presented. This is especially important in complex cases where there may be competing explanations for an injury. I keep my clients informed at every stage, explaining what we are doing and why, so they feel supported and confident throughout the process.

Where appropriate, I also work to secure early admissions and interim payments to fund rehabilitation, care and support as soon as possible. Ultimately, my aim is to combine careful preparation with a strategic approach to negotiation, giving my clients the best possible chance of achieving a strong outcome.

Most of the cases I handle are funded through a conditional fee agreement, which means there’s no financial risk to you if the claim is unsuccessful. I always explain clearly at the outset how costs are dealt with if the case succeeds.
