I am a Solicitor in Irwin Mitchell’s Newcastle Office. I started my career at Irwin Mitchell as a Paralegal in June 2013.
I specialise in helping children and adults who have sustained injuries as a result of abuse or sexual assault.
I also have experience of Group Action work, working alongside senior members of the business in the corresponding 'British Coal Coke Oven Workers Litigation' and the 'British Steel Coke Oven Workers Litigation'.
My aim is to ensure that our clients receive the best possible advice and assistance from the outset of their case.
What Inspired You To Get Into Law?
I worked as a senior manager in retail for a number of years following university and found that it was always the legal part of my role that interested me the most. So I did a law conversion, got experience in a law firm and it all went from there!
What Is The Most Rewarding Aspect Of Your Role?
The most rewarding aspect of my role is the real difference that we make to the lives of our clients.
Many of our clients come to us following life-changing events with catastrophic consequences. I enjoy helping them get justice for their injuries, which often aren’t their fault.
I also find it very rewarding to work alongside and learn from such hard-working and passionate lawyers and other professionals!
What Do You Do Away From The Office?
Away from the office I enjoy cooking, seeing friends and family, hiking and going to the gym!
