Biography
I am a Solicitor based in the Medical Negligence team in London. Since qualifying I have spent time growing my own varied caseload of claims and have experience of a wide range of clinical negligence claims. These include:
- Delays in diagnosis/treatment
- Neurosurgery
- Gynaecology/obstetrics
- Amputations
- Infections
- Orthopaedics
- Spinal Injuries
Before joining Irwin Mitchell I worked as a paralegal for the MDDUS (The Medical and Dental Defence Union of Scotland). This is a UK-wide defence organisation which provides legal support for healthcare professionals. During my time there I worked on Inquests, clinical negligence claims and provided general healthcare advice.
For a time I also worked for Kingsley Napley Solicitors, focusing on high value and complex clinical negligence claims. Following this, I joined McMillan Williams as a paralegal in 2014, later qualifying as a solicitor there too. I have also volunteered for a medical advice charity, Actions Against Medical Accident (AvMA), the UK charity for patient safety and justice.
