I am a Solicitor in the Medical Negligence team based in Birmingham. I act exclusively for clients in clinical negligence cases against NHS Trusts, private practitioners, general practitioners (GPs) and dentists.
I run my own varied case load which includes cases involving a delay in diagnosis of cancer, gynaecological injuries and cases arising from sub-standard surgery.
I also specialise in cosmetic cases, and I have a particular interest in facial surgeries and breast augmentation surgeries cases arising as a result of sub-standard technique.
I also have experience helping people who have suffered psychological injuries as a result of sub-standard treatment and people who have experienced substandard dental treatment.
In addition, I assist on the team’s larger cases and have experience in working on cases involving profound brain damage, stroke, fatalities and neonatal death.
I previously worked within the International Personal Injury department at Irwin Mitchell where I gained experience in dealing with large group claims.

"From the first appointment Kathryn Salt and the team at Irwin Mitchell delivered an excellent, caring service. I always had complete confidence that the advice offered was always in my best interest with options explained clearly and without jargon. Kathryn prepared the best case possible with no corners cut. I had been through a traumatic experience prior to making a claim and this was acknowledged by the way in which my appointments and dealings with Kathryn and the team were handled." - 5* Trustpilot review
