What inspired you to get into law?
It was actually a colleague I met when I was 17 who suggested I looked into legal training by becoming a Legal Executive. I was working for her as a secretary at the time and up to that point I had never considered a career in Law. I started studying by way of evening classes and correspondence courses whilst working full time and found I had a real passion and interest in all aspects of Law.
Once I started I knew that it was the career for me as I really enjoy helping people and the attention to detail required. Moving home is stressful and I enjoy assisting and guiding clients through the process as I know it can be overwhelming.
What is the most rewarding aspect of your role?
Buying a home is such a big step in all our lives and especially as a first time buyer and I love being part of that journey.
I aim to make sure that all my clients receive excellent customer service and one of the most rewarding aspects for me is when they instruct me again when they decide to move again or recommend me to friends and colleagues.
What do you like about working at Irwin Mitchell?
The team are so supportive and have a massive wealth of legal and technical experience and knowledge so we can deal with complex transactions.
What do you do away from the office?
I love spending time with my family and two sons. I enjoy going to the cinema and watching crime dramas. I also enjoy watching Rugby and Formula 1 when I get the chance.
