Biography
I’m a Paralegal in our Military Injury Team. Our work supports serving and ex-service men and women with claims for compensation following an injury or illness.
We also support in many other ways by providing life-long support to the claimant and their families. We support a lot of charities and strive to give the best advice and the outcome our clients deserve.
What inspired you to get into law?
I studied GCSE Law at school and always had an interest in the work. However, I didn’t pursue this as a career initially.
I joined the firm as an administrator in 2017 and realised that I still had an interest in a career in Law and became Paralegal in October 2021.
What is the most rewarding aspect of your role?
I’d say the most rewarding aspect of my role would be our clients. Our clients lead the most interesting and varied lives. Knowing that their careers and family life could be permanently damaged as a result of injury or illness drives me to get them the best service and outcome they deserve.
What do you like about working at Irwin Mitchell?
Irwin Mitchell is an inclusive and diverse company and no matter what role or background you have, everyone is made to feel welcomed and supported. I’ve been given opportunities at Irwin Mitchell to pursue my legal career, and for that I’m very grateful.
What do you do away from the office?
I enjoy spending time with family and friends, whether that be outdoors or relaxing at home.
I have a son who was born in 2019, so a lot of my time is spent with him and my husband. I work part-time currently so I can make as many memories with him as I can.
