What do you like about working at Irwin Mitchell?
I really enjoy the team dynamics we have at IM and the sense of support from all colleagues. I enjoy the client relations we build and variety of work we undertake within the team.
What is the most rewarding aspect of your role?
I find it extremely rewarding to be able to see a client's growth throughout the lifetime of the case in all aspects of their life and to be able to play a role in that recovery and rehabilitation. I love being able to see the positive impact we can have on someone's life and help them rebuild after serious and often catastrophic injuries. The client centred focus is very important and keeps us passionate about what we do.
What inspired you to get into law?
I chose to study law as I wanted to study a degree which would challenge me on a daily basis and also provide me with a broad set of skills. During my second year of study I took part in an internship with a charity who represented people with mental disabilities and supported their rights. I saw how much of a positive and impactful change you could have on someone's life and knew I wanted to be in a role where I could do that. Then when attending an event with various law firms while at university confirmed that Irwin Mitchell was the firm I wanted to work for.
What do you do away from the office?
When I am away from the office I enjoy traveling and exploring new countries and cultures, including Thailand and Indonesia. I enjoy keeping fit in the gym, I am a keen horse rider and love countryside walks too. I also love getting lost in a good book.
