I have worked in the occupational disease area of law for just over eight years.
My specialist areas include Hand Arm Vibration Syndrome ('HAVS'), asthma, dermatitis, chemical poisoning, and all areas of asbestos related disease, including asbestosis, diffuse pleural thickening, mesothelioma, and asbestos-related lung cancer.

I originally completed a degree in English with International Relations before embarking in my career in the law. I always enjoyed using my interest in words and drafting to make persuasive arguments, as well as undertaking how rules and regulations impact people's day to day lives. These interests, as well as wanting to help people in general, meant that the move into law was a no brainer.
Without a doubt, seeing my clients receive a positive outcome is my biggest motivator. I fight for them and seeing the work pay off when they are satisfied with the result is beyond rewarding.
In my free time, I love to travel, keep fit and socialise- I will never turn down a gig ticket or a cinema trip!
In October 2025, I also ran a half marathon to raise money for a regional charity who provides support to victims of asbestos related disease and their families.
At Irwin Mitchell, everyone is down to earth and approachable. The culture encourages hard work but also collaboration. There is always someone on hand to chat through a problem or offer advice, having that wealth of expertise and experience is invaluable to achieving results we want for clients.
