Which clients do you usually work with?

My expertise for most of my career has been working with clients who have suffered a brain injury at birth.

What notable cases have you worked on?

I have worked on very many cases in my career. Some clients have inevitably left a deep impression on me, and those tended to be the clients or families that I worked with the longest, such as birth injury cases which, by their nature, take many years to conclude. I found it really difficult with those clients to suddenly not be in contact with them regularly when their cases concluded; it felt like losing friends.

It’s hard with this type of work to talk about individual clients because they aren’t case studies, they’re people who value their privacy for whom the very worst thing has happened, and they are just trying to get their lives back.

How do you help your clients achieve the best outcome?

I get to know my clients and understand the extent of impact they (and their family) have experienced. I am very fortunate to work in a highly skilled team who can support in every way to get the best outcome for my client.

A special damages unit skilled in drafting schedules of loss to maximise the damages
A Court of Protection team who can provide a Deputy to support certain clients once they have their damages.
