Biography
I am a Solicitor in the serious injury team in Newcastle and specialise in working with individuals who have sustained life changing injuries such as traumatic brain injury, spinal injury and amputation arising from road traffic accidents, accidents at work and I have a particular interest in cycling related accidents.
What do you like about working at Irwin Mitchell?
From the start of my career at Irwin Mitchell I have been supported by my colleagues to progress my career within the business from Paralegal, Training Contract and qualifying as a Solicitor. I continue to learn from very experienced colleagues in the business and the support provided across the Newcastle and wider teams enables us to achieve the best outcomes for our clients.
As a full-service law firm, we are able to support clients in many other matters that can arise through the lifetime of their person injury claim and beyond.
What is the most rewarding aspect of your role?
Using my knowledge and experience to support injured clients and their families to navigate a very difficult period of time in their lives. Ensuring clients receive the right support and rehabilitation to allow them to move on with their life in the best way possible is very rewarding.
What inspired you to get into law?
I wanted to work in a profession which enables you to use your skills and knowledge in order to help people. I studied a Masters Law Degree at Northumbria University throughout that time I gained experience at Law firms offering personal legal services which further confirmed that this was an area of law that I wanted to practice.
What do you do away from the office?
Away from the office I enjoy exercise and staying active and being outdoors cycling, running and playing golf. I love walking my dog at the coast with my wife and stopping at the best coffee and cake spots.
