Biography
I am a Solicitor covering the South Coast region (with offices in Chichester, Gatwick and Southampton) and specialising in all aspects of family law, relationship breakdown and children law. I qualified with the Family Law team in September 2020.
I offer help and advice to people when their relationship comes to an end, or help them plan for the possibility of that happening. This may involve the separation itself, the related consequences for their finances, or care arrangements for their children.
In every case, I always work hard to achieve the result which is right for each client, while also making sure they have a clear understanding of the possible outcomes from the start.
What inspired you to get into law?
I enjoy a challenge and as a lawyer, you're continuously learning throughout your career, in order to keep up with the ever-changing world around you. That excites me, as I want to continually improve my knowledge and my practices and continue learning from the people around me. I love the intellectual stimulation of case analysis, which means I am always growing professionally.
What is the most rewarding aspect of your role?
When a client first instructs us, they are often struggling to come to terms with the breakdown of a relationship and the impact this will have on their life. Navigating the family law process can be an overwhelming experience. It's particularly rewarding to help clients through these challenges and see them come out of the other side happier and more confident.
What do you like about working at Irwin Mitchell?
Irwin Mitchell has a fresh and pioneering approach. We're a close knit and supportive team, sharing a dedication to our clients and a passion for the law. I feel lucky to work alongside some of the best lawyers in the industry and learn from their experiences.
What do you do away from the office?
I’m an avid reader of Time Out and love finding fun activities to do at the weekend with my friends and family. Most recently, we did a London Underground Treasure Hunt, which I would highly recommend!
I also love to travel, recent highlights include staying in a traditional Japanese ryokan, snorkelling between two tectonic plates in Iceland and seeing the Northern Lights in Sweden.
