Erica Ives
Biography
Erica is a Senior Associate Solicitor in the Planning and Environment Team at Irwin Mitchell. She works with a variety of clients, including commercial developers (both national and SME), local authorities and individuals.
Erica advises on all aspects of planning law. She regularly carries out due diligence to support transactional matters and negotiates s106 agreements, highways agreements and utilities agreements to support commercial development.
In respect of contentious work, Erica provides enforcement advice and regularly liaises with local planning authorities on behalf of clients to manage enforcement matters, including preparing and submitting applications for certificates of lawfulness where appropriate. She also supports and conducts planning appeals against both refusals of planning permission and enforcement notices.
Recent Highlights
I acted for Chase New Homes in obtaining planning permission for 96 new homes and various community facilities under the S62A Town and Country Planning Act 1990 special measures procedure.
