Asbestos and Occupational Disease
Leeds

I am a Paralegal in Irwin Mitchell's Asbestos and Occupational Disease department. I joined Irwin Mitchell in September 2025.
In my role as a Paralegal, I assist Solicitors with the progression of complex asbestos-related disease cases, as well as other workplace injury cases.

It is definitely the people and progression. My team and everyone I meet at the firm is kind, encouraging and supportive. It is clear that Irwin Mitchell wants its employees to thrive and progress.
I love interacting with people and knowing that the work I do plays a part in the real impact we have on our client's lives. Although no amount of compensation can right the wrongs of the injustice our clients have suffered, knowing that it can help families rebuild after losses suffered is rewarding.
I went to sixth form and had a career's counsellor who advised me that she thought I would be a good Solicitor. Law felt out of reach for me, even though I have always loved the idea of working in a law firm. She encouraged me to study Law at University. I did - and loved it!
I started Irwin Mitchell a few months after graduating and I could not have chosen a better career path for me.
I enjoy weightlifting, running half-marathons, walking my dog and going on holidays!
