Biography
I am a Solicitor in the Medical Negligence department in Irwin Mitchell's London office. I joined Irwin Mitchell in October 2023 as a newly qualified solicitor.
I represent people who have been injured as a result of medical negligence.
I manage my own caseload, which consists of claims involving a wide variety of injury types, including:
-
Orthopaedic injuries
- Vascular diseases
- Sight and hearing loss
- Pressure sores
- Bariatric procedure injuries.
I also assist senior members of the team with birth injury, amputation and brain injury claims.
What do you like about working at Irwin Mitchell?
As Irwin Mitchell is a full-service law firm, we are in the unique position of being able to assist our clients with any legal issue that arises during or after the conclusion of their medical negligence claim.
I am also extremely fortunate to work in a department with an incredible breadth of expertise, and with colleagues who have a passion for the work that they do. I enjoy working with and learning from my fantastic colleagues.
What is the most rewarding aspect of your role?
I am motivated by the desire to help my clients who are often facing the most difficult time of their life.
The nature of investigating a medical negligence claim means that I am able to help my clients to gain a better understanding of what they have been through and achieve some sort of closure for them.
Through my work, I am able to assist with achieving life-changing outcomes for clients, so that they are able to focus on their rehabilitation and plan for their future, which may have at one point felt impossible.
What inspired you to get into law?
I was initially drawn to studying law at university because I wanted to pursue a career which would both challenge me and allow me to be creative; and where no two days would be the same.
As I began to study law, I found that I was most drawn to areas whereby I could make a positive difference to somebody’s life; and this was the first step to me pursuing a career as a medical negligence solicitor.
What do you do away from the office?
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with loved ones and going to the theatre! I love travelling, and I am slowly ticking off some of my bucket list destinations.
