I qualified as a Solicitor in 2019 and joined the Family Team at Irwin Mitchell. Since qualifying, I've enjoyed exposure to a wide range of cases, particularly those with complex financial elements.
I advise clients on all aspects of family law matters arising from the breakdown of a relationship between married couples, civil partners and unmarried couples. I also have a distinct focus on family finance matters, cohabitation disputes and children matters.
I studied Law at Cardiff University where I achieved first class honours. I trained as a solicitor in Wales’ largest regional law firm where I gained experience across a range of private client areas including taxation and trusts.
In 2017, I won the Janet Forbes Prize for Family Law from Bristol Law School.
What Inspired You To Get Into Law?
I'm interested in people, and wanted to work in an area which would give me the opportunity to build relationships with clients, understand their issues thoroughly and support and guide them through the whole process.
What Is The Most Rewarding Aspect Of Your Role?
Having the opportunity to support clients through changes in their lives is a real privilege. Clients may initially feel overwhelmed and apprehensive when I first meet them, but helping them to achieve a properly resourced and hopeful future is hugely gratifying.
What Do You Like About Working At Irwin Mitchell?
Irwin Mitchell provides an exceptional standard of advice and fantastic client care to clients. Working in a firm with a shared ethos of excellence gives me confidence that all clients will achieve the best possible standard of representation.
What Do You Do Away From The Office?
Away from the office you will most likely find me indulging at one of the many fabulous independent restaurants and pubs which Bristol has to offer.
My partner is a very keen dinghy sailor so if the weather is good you may find me crewing a double hander – and if the weather is bad I will likely be in the sailing club bar.
