Biography
I am a Legal Director within the Commercial Dispute Resolution team at Irwin Mitchell LLP, with extensive experience in litigation and dispute resolution. My practice encompasses a wide range of complex and high-value commercial disputes, including corporate and commercial litigation, shareholder and partnership disputes, breaches of directors’ duties, banking and finance litigation, insolvency, professional negligence, cross-border disputes, dry shipping cargo disputes, international trade, VAT disputes, and civil fraud.
I have acted in numerous significant cases before the High Court, the Court of Appeal, the Supreme Court, and the Privy Council. In 2024, I appeared as sole advocate in a 22-week High Court trial involving allegations of fraudulent trading and dishonesty-based claims, following the judge’s request to continue the case after the barrister team withdrew—ensuring the trial proceeded without interruption.
Prior to joining Irwin Mitchell, I spent 20 years in boutique law firms across Central London, where I led litigation teams and managed challenging disputes with strategic precision. I was called to the Bar in 2005, cross-qualified as a solicitor in 2011, and completed my Higher Rights of Audience qualifications (Civil and Criminal) in 2013, which were officially awarded in March 2014.
Fluent in French and Mauritian Creole, and conversational in Hindi and Urdu, I bring a global and culturally nuanced perspective to my legal work, particularly in international and cross-border matters.
