What inspired you to get into law?
I’ve always loved trying to solve problems and I wanted a career where I could help people, what better way to do both than a career in the legal profession!
What is the most rewarding aspect of your role?
The most rewarding part of my job is being able to help my clients, and achieve an outcome for them, at a time that is particularly difficult for them.
What do you like about working at Irwin Mitchell?
What I love about working at Irwin Mitchell is the real sense of community within the firm and that everyone works towards the same objective, to do our best for our clients.
What do you do away from the office?
Outside of work I like to spend my time playing squash and netball. I also enjoy reading and spending time with family and friends.
"Very supportive throughout the case, answered all questions and gave good advice. Very knowledgeable and approachable. Would like to say a big thank you to Amy Makin and Nicola Ashton" -5* Trustpilot review
"From the minute I contacted Irwin Mitchell with my case I have been updated every step of the way. My case was of a sensitive nature to me and always upset me when I spoke about it, my solicitor was unbelievably kind and helpful. For someone who I did not meet regularly, she made me feel at ease when talking to her. I was assured I could contact her whenever I felt I needed to and I always got a response within 24 hours. I can't thank her enough for not judging me, for helping me but mainly for assuring me that what happened should not have happened. I can't thank her enough." - 5* Trustpilot review
‘My experience with Irwin Mitchell was incredible. From start to finish, the communication was excellent, their level of knowledge and expertise was fantastic and their patience & hard work did not go unrecognised. A particular mention to Amy Makin who spent so much time with me, was so friendly and patient when I had to relive some of my most hardest moments. She kept me up to date with every single decision/review & communication from the defendant, I could not have asked for much more. Thank you so much Amy - I couldn’t have asked for a nicer person to deal with my case.’ - 5* Trustpilot review
