Biography
I began my legal career at Irwin Mitchell in 2021 as a Trainee Solicitor, completing my training contract with the firm. In August 2023, I was delighted to qualify as a Solicitor and join the Court of Protection team, based in our Newcastle office.
My practice focuses on representing both adults and children who have been assessed as lacking capacity to manage their financial affairs. I specialise in the management of personal injury and clinical negligence compensation, supporting clients through Court of Protection deputyships and personal injury trusts.
I am committed to a collaborative, client-centred approach—working closely with litigation teams, case managers, therapists, rehabilitation professionals, and families to ensure that each client’s needs are met and their financial interests are safeguarded.
What do you like about working at Irwin Mitchell?
I'm really lucky to be building my career at Irwin Mitchell. It’s a firm full of brilliant lawyers across so many different areas, all united by the same goal—doing everything we can to support our clients, their families, and their businesses.
What is the most rewarding aspect of your role?
The most rewarding part of my job is being there for my clients through some of the biggest moments in their lives and seeing them thrive. I'm constantly inspired by their strength and resilience, and I feel incredibly proud of everything they achieve. I'm also truly grateful to be someone they can rely on when things get tough—working together with them, their families, and their wider support teams to find the right way forward. The relationships I’ve built along the way really mean a lot to me.
What inspired you to get into law?
I've always enjoyed the challenge of solving problems. For me, that's really at the heart of being a lawyer—working closely with clients to understand what they need and finding the right legal solutions that work best for them and their individual circumstances.
What do you do away from the office?
Outside of work, I enjoy travelling with family and friends, getting lost in a good thriller, and unwinding with a long walk along the coast.
