Abbi has a particular specialism in contentious work and has successfully represented and defended Employment Tribunal claims spanning a wide range of areas including unfair dismissal, discrimination, TUPE and whistleblowing.
Abbi advises both employers and employees, enabling her to provide practical and objective advice to clients in order to achieve positive outcomes.
Abbi also works in the specialist Legal Expenses Insurance team, representing both employees and employers who have the benefit of legal expense insurance funding.
- Successfully represented a client in the Employment Appeal Tribunal in relation to whether an employee on long term sick leave is assigned to the organised grouping of employees transferring in a TUPE transfer.
Successfully applied and obtained a reconsideration of an Employment Tribunal’s judgment in the client’s favour.
- Negotiated a settlement of over £175,000 for a client who had been subject to sex discrimination upon her return to work following a period of maternity leave.
