Irwin Mitchell strengthens Family team in North West with partner appointment in Liverpool

Irwin Mitchell has appointed highly regarded family lawyer Rachel Lim as a partner in its Liverpool office, further strengthening the firm's family law offering across the North West.

Rachel joins from Weightmans, where she was a partner in the family team. She specialises in all aspects of family law, including divorce and dissolution proceedings, financial remedy matters and children cases.

She has expertise in advising on modern family law issues, including matters involving same-sex couples and parental order applications following surrogacy arrangements.

Rachel is a member of Resolution and is an Accredited Specialist in both Children Cases and Complex Financial Remedy Cases.

Her expertise has been recognised widely by the legal directories, having been named a Rising Star by Legal 500 for the last five consecutive years and ranked as a Leading Individual in the family and matrimonial category by Chambers and Partners 2024.

The appointment reflects Irwin Mitchell's continued investment in its national family law practice and commitment to providing clients with specialist advice on an increasingly diverse range of family matters.
