Irwin Mitchell Celebrates Tier One Ranking in 2026 eprivateclient Top Family Law Firms guide

Irwin Mitchell has once again been ranked Tier One in the 2026 eprivateclient Top Family Law Firms guide, which provides an in-depth assessment of the leading firms offering family law advice across the UK.

The firm recorded the highest number of family law staff of any full-service law firm included in the rankings. It also had the highest number of UK family law fee earners in the full-service category.

Led by Head of Family Law Clare Wiseman, Irwin Mitchell’s family team includes more than 100 people nationally.

The team advises high-net-worth individuals and families, often on complex financial arrangements and sensitive cross-border matters requiring specialist, strategic advice. The firm also has a strong alternative dispute resolution focus with former BBC news presenter Joanna Gosling as a senior mediator.

Clare Wiseman, Head of Family Law at Irwin Mitchell, said:

“Being recognised once again as a Tier One firm is a welcome reflection of the strength and depth of our family law practice across the UK.

“Our clients often come to us at significant and highly personal moments in their lives. The scale of our team means we can combine specialist expertise with a personal approach, supporting individuals and families through complex financial and family matters. We also have the strength of Irwin Mitchell’s private client, property and corporate teams behind us if we need further specialist expertise in other areas of law.

“This latest ranking is testament to the commitment of colleagues across the team and the consistently high standard of advice they provide.”
