Irwin Mitchell partner appointed to STEP Council

Irwin Mitchell partner Andrea Jones has been appointed to the STEP Council for England and Wales.

Andrea, National Head of Private Client Advisory at Irwin Mitchell, will represent STEP’s North East constituency covering Yorkshire, the North East and Cumbria, for a three-year term from 1 January 2027.

STEP is a global professional body for lawyers, accountants, trustees and other practitioners who help families plan for their futures. It has more than 23,000 members worldwide and provides education, professional development and opportunities for specialists to share knowledge and best practice.

Irwin Mitchell is a STEP Platinum Employer Partner, recognising its ongoing commitment to supporting the professional development of private client specialists and maintaining the highest standards of technical expertise across its teams.

Based in Leeds, Andrea has more than 20 years’ experience advising families, business owners and entrepreneurs on estate planning, wealth protection and succession planning.

She previously served on the STEP Yorkshire committee for 12 years, including three years as branch chair.
