Full service law firm continues to grow in the North West
Irwin Mitchell has added to its market-leading family law team in Manchester with the appointment of Partner and Mediator Phillip Rhodes.
Phillip is a highly experienced family lawyer, specialising in complex financial cases, often with multi-jurisdictional elements and those involving business interests, trusts and pensions. He has extensive experience in cases involving children disputes and is an experienced Mediator and a committee member of Resolution, the community of over 6,500 family lawyers and other professionals committed to the constructive resolution of family disputes.
Phillip joins one of the largest family law teams in the country, as it continues with its ambitious growth plans having recently invested in Scottish firm Wright, Johnston and Mackenzie and acquired North East firm Silk Family Law. Irwin Mitchell also brought in former BBC News presenter Joanna Gosling as a mediator last year. The specialist team regularly brings complex financial separation cases to the High Court, Court of Appeal and Supreme Court.
Commenting on his appointment, Phillip said: “Irwin Mitchell’s reputation for family law is second to none across the UK, and particularly so in Manchester and the North West. I’m excited to be a part of a growing team and look forward to playing a key role in firm’s success at the top of the family law market in the region.”
Expert Opinion
“I’m thrilled to welcome Phillip to the family team here at Irwin Mitchell. We’re continuing to invest in growing our family law team in the North and nationally, particularly in the alternative dispute resolution space.
“Our mediation service has gone from strength-to-strength as more couples look to resolve their conflicts out of court and in a less contentious way.”
