The Shortlisting Includes Law Firm of the Year As Well As Individual Nominations, Personal Injury and Private Client Categories
Irwin Mitchell is celebrating after receiving eight nominations in the prestigious Northern Powerhouse Awards by Legal 500 including Law Firm of the Year.
As well as the coveted Law Firm of the Year award, the firm has also been nominated for:
- Insurance firm of the year
- Insurance Lawyer of the year (Partner Sarah Coles)
- Insurance Rising Star of the Year (Ross McWilliams and Carol Purang)
- Private Client Lawyer of the Year (Andrea Jones),
- Private Client Rising Star of the Year (Maisie Huynh)
- Marketing Team of the year.
The firm was highly ranked in multiple areas of law in the latest independent Legal 500 rankings which were released in October including taking number one spots in the North of England for Personal Injury, Clinical Negligence, Contentious Private Client, Private Client Tax Trusts and Probate, and Family law.
The firm was also ranked for other areas of law including Planning and Environment, Real Estate, Public Sector, Education, Insolvency and Recoveries, Banking and Finance, Employment law and Corporate and Commercial.
A total of 42 lawyers were personally recommended across the North and Yorkshire and Humber including Andrea Jones, Sarah Coles, Ross McWilliams, Carol Purang and Maisie Huynh – who are all shortlisted as individuals in the Northern Powerhouse Awards.
Irwin Mitchell recently announced a deal to acquire Silk Family Law in the Northeast subject to contracts and regulatory approval which will further bolster its offering in the region.
