Firm Is Revealed As Highest-Ranking Law Firm In Super Large Organisations Category
Irwin Mitchell has officially been named one of the UK’s best places to work for wellbeing in 2023 by the Great Place To Work Institute.
The firm was ranked 32nd in the Best Workplaces for Wellbeing 2023 for Super Large Organisations, making Irwin Mitchell the highest ranked law firm in the category.
Now in their second year, the wellbeing rankings are assessed through Great Place to Work analysing thousands of employee surveys and assessing people’s experiences of wellbeing at work to determine the UK's Best Workplaces for Wellbeing list.
The surveys asked employees to comment on how their company supports their work-life balance, sense of fulfilment, job satisfaction, psychological safety and financial security. Evaluations also included an assessment of how well the organisation was able to deliver consistency of their employee experience across all departments and seniority levels.
Irwin Mitchell has again been recognised for its multi-faceted approach to colleague wellbeing, which has seen the firm put the mental health of colleagues at the heart of its people strategy.
Ongoing initiatives include the team of Healthy Mind Advocates, trained as Mental Health Champions by Mental Health Firs Aid England, supported by the firm’s National Wellbeing Team.
All colleagues benefit from a range of policies designed to deliver real flexibility and inclusion, including a ‘Flexible By Choice’ approach to work. This allows colleagues to choose where and when they wish to work, subject to client need.
The firm has also set out its commitment to environmental, social and governance (ESG) principles, with a responsible business strategy focused on sustainability and inclusion.
Benedict Gautrey, Managing Director of Great Place to Work UK, said: “At the heart of every organisation are its people and looking after their wellbeing should be much more than a package of impressive perks on a careers website.”
“We know when employees feel genuinely contented and at ease within their roles, they are much more engaged and productive. Now in our second year of the UK's Best Workplaces™ for Wellbeing list, we’re once again able to showcase the leading organisations providing cultures conducive to outstanding psychological, physical and social wellbeing. A huge congratulations to Irwin Mitchell for making this prestigious list.”
