MADE Festival 2016

We are again supporting MADE Festival, the UK’s premier business event for entrepreneurship; educating, inspiring and motivating early stage entrepreneurs, established business owners and investors. Taking place on 8 November at the Crucible Theatre in Sheffield, MADE will provide meaningful, practical advice and inspiration from experts and peers who will share their views, advice and experiences on growing and succeeding in business.

Our Corporate Partner Andrea Cropley is chairing the panel debate titled: ‘from the high street to the crowd – the great financial debate’.  This panel debate will discuss various funding options from high street and challenger banks to crowd funder and angel investment, presenting the relative benefits and pitfalls with case studies from entrepreneurs and business owners who have been there. There will also be the chance for the audience to have their say through live voting.

We are then hosting a fringe event on Wednesday 9 November at our office which will continue the discussions from the panel debate the previous day. It will examine the differences between traditional sources of funding and those more innovative approaches, such as crowdfunding, which are becoming increasingly popular. We will take a look at where these options sit in the business life cycle and what steps you can proactively take to be more attractive to investors. This also provides an additional forum for entrepreneurs to ask questions relating to funding topics arising from the main conference agenda.
