Rehabilitation - Can It Be Achieved In The Community?

Rehabilitation - Can It Be Achieved In The Community?

The conference will look at how successful teams have re-enabled rehabilitation in the community within the NHS, working in a joined up way in the healthcare network, not by isolation, but through collaboration. We will also take a look at recently published research in disabled people returning to work and how the gaps in rehabilitation in the community can be achieved to deliver reliable care.

Speakers include leading NHS rehabilitation professionals, NHS England and published research professionals.

We are proud that Hannah Cockroft MBE will be launching the conference for us. Hannah is an Irwin Mitchell sponsored paralympic wheelchair racer who won two gold medals at the London 2012 Paralympic Games and will be competing at the 2015 IPC World Athletics Championships in Doha in October.

Hannah, who was left with disabilities after suffering two cardiac arrests shortly after her birth, says:

"Disability sport is currently more popular than ever and hopefully if I keep doing what I'm doing I can be a role model for people who might be struggling to understand what their aims and ambitions should be."
