Over the years, I’ve been involved in many cases which have made a real difference to my clients. That may be through the compensation result but it’s often through the rehabilitation, which has given them a quality of life again. A notable case where rehabilitation made a massive difference to my client’s life won the Post Magazine Rehabilitation First award.

In another claim, the appropriate rehabilitation allowed my brain-injured client to transform his life from what it was before I took over his case. He’d been unwilling to speak to anyone by phone and a simple phone call from him towards the end of the case was one of the most rewarding moments of my career as it showed just how much we’d achieved together.

I’ve also worked on a number of cases which have attracted significant publicity, such as representing the family of a rugby league player who was killed in a road traffic collision, as well as cases which have extended complex areas of law.

I meet with my clients early to start to understand their circumstances which will allow me to do my very best for them and answer any questions they may have about the rehabilitation and legal process.

I seek to reassure them about the support we can offer them while also giving them honest advice about timescales and the prospects of succeeding.

Throughout the case, I ensure my clients know that they can contact me with any questions they have that may not have been answered already. I also make sure they fully understand what I’m doing for them.

I connect my clients with our in-house support services to help them get the support they need. This could be advice on any means-tested benefits they’re entitled to claim, or specialist rehabilitation they need to aid recovery.

For our first meeting, I can meet you wherever you feel most comfortable, whether that’s in hospital, at home, or in our office. It’s important that I understand your background and circumstances so that I can clearly explain your immediate needs to the opponent.

The first meeting can be as long or as short as you would like, but I’ll aim to understand the circumstances of your accident, the injuries you have suffered, and any immediate concerns you may have.

I’ll also give you an overview of the legal process, reassure you about how your case will be funded, and explain the immediate steps I will take to protect your position and help address your current needs. I’m also here to answer any questions you have about making a claim for compensation.
