I’m a solicitor in the Serious Injury team in London. I specialise in representing clients who have sustained serious injuries as a result of road traffic accidents, accidents at work and accidents in public places. I have a particular interest in those accidents resulting in serious brain or orthopaedic injury.
What inspired you to get in to law?
I wanted to have a career where I could help people and I was drawn to the ability that lawyers have to fight to change and develop the law. I wanted to make a positive difference to the lives of others and suppose I never seriously considered any other career than law.
What is the most rewarding aspect of your role?
I am very lucky that I am able to provide support and advice to clients through difficult and often stressful points in their lives. Many of them will never have instructed a solicitor before and I enjoy being able to make the process less daunting.
It's also a privilege to be able to help my clients secure rehabilitation and see how my work can make a positive difference to their lives.
What do you like about working at Irwin Mitchell?
The nature of our work means that we spend our days working with clients who have been through vey traumatic experiences. I wouldn’t be able to do that without the supportive team I have at Irwin Mitchell. I like the culture in the office and enjoy working as part of a highly skilled and experienced team, who support each other to provide the best possible outcomes for our clients.
What do you do away from the office?
On the weekends I can often be found on long walks or exploring all that London has to offer. I love spending time with friends and family, enjoy cooking and travelling when I can.
