Biography
I'm very excited to be part of the WPI Team, working with clients who have an asbestos related condition in the South of England. I have been a qualified Social Worker for over 23 years, working in Palliative care in both Hospital and Hospice during my career.
Not only that, but I also volunteered for Jersey Hospice Bereavement Support Team, and I'm a member of the Association of Palliative Care Social Workers.
I am passionate about clients having access to excellent, person -centred ‘End of Life Care’ – we only have one chance to get it right.
What inspired you to get into law?
I was drawn to Irwin Mitchell because I was impressed by their holistic attitude to client care. Employing qualified professionals such as myself, to provide advice and support, not just to them, but also to their families/carers. This is a really innovative and person-centred approach.
What is the most rewarding aspect of your role?
Being able to work alongside clients, to help and support them to achieve maximum independence and quality of life.
What do you like about working at Irwin Mitchell?
I feel privileged to work for an organisation that is so highly regarded in its field. It is a company that clearly takes client care very seriously and provides a service that I feel proud to be part of.
What do you do away from the office?
I have an old French Bulldog who is the most stubborn and naughty creature alive, but I adore him, and we go for lots of lovely walks along the canal where I live.
I also enjoy maintaining my 1740 cottage and taking care of its gorgeous garden.
