I represent both adults and children who have sustained life-changing injuries. This includes those who may have sustained brain injury, multiple fractures, or spinal cord injury.
I also represent family members who have lost loved ones as a result of fatal accidents. At a time which can present the most unexpected and difficult challenges in life, I do my very best to offer support through recovery and rehabilitation and ultimately to ensure financial security for the future.
What inspired you to get into law?
I'm also a chartered physiotherapist and have always had a drive to help people who have suffered injury. I was inspired to get into law by a former colleague here at Irwin Mitchell, who was also a physiotherapist.
I could see that the combination of my rehabilitation knowledge and experience together with technical legal expertise places me in an excellent position to provide the very best service for those who have sustained serious injuries.
What is the most rewarding aspect of your role?
Noone expects to suffer an injury or loss which turns their world upside down. Working with my clients and their family and being able to help them through those difficult times is incredibly rewarding.
It can be challenging but knowing that my clients receive the best possible rehabilitation and the essential support they require makes every minute worthwhile.
What do you like about working at Irwin Mitchell?
We encourage a positive, proactive and collaborative work environment. We have a tremendous amount of skill and experience in our team and work together to provide a truly bespoke and client-centred approach.
This gives me confidence that I can provide and maintain a high technical standard whilst maintaining a very personal service.
What do you do away from the office?
I've lived in Sheffield for the majority of my life and I take every opportunity to enjoy the Peak District, whether that be by foot or cycle. I’m a rugby fan and have also been known to attend the occasional Formula 1 Grand Prix.
Looking further afield, I've always enjoyed stepping off the beaten track and have visited some of the more hidden corners of the world.
