I represent both adults and children who have sustained life-changing injuries. This includes those who may have sustained brain injury, multiple fractures, or spinal cord injury.
I also represent family members who have lost loved ones as a result of fatal accidents. At a time which can present the most unexpected and difficult challenges in life, I do my very best to offer support through recovery and rehabilitation and ultimately to ensure financial security for the future.
What inspired you to get into law?
I'm also a chartered physiotherapist and have always had a drive to help people who have suffered injury. I was inspired to get into law by a former colleague here at Irwin Mitchell, who was also a physiotherapist.
I could see that the combination of my rehabilitation knowledge and experience together with technical legal expertise places me in an excellent position to provide the very best service for those who have sustained serious injuries.
What is the most rewarding aspect of your role?
Noone expects to suffer an injury or loss which turns their world upside down. Working with my clients and their family and being able to help them through those difficult times is incredibly rewarding.
It can be challenging but knowing that my clients receive the best possible rehabilitation and the essential support they require makes every minute worthwhile.
What do you like about working at Irwin Mitchell?
We encourage a positive, proactive and collaborative work environment. We have a tremendous amount of skill and experience in our team and work together to provide a truly bespoke and client-centred approach.
This gives me confidence that I can provide and maintain a high technical standard whilst maintaining a very personal service.
What do you do away from the office?
I've lived in Sheffield for the majority of my life and I take every opportunity to enjoy the Peak District, whether that be by foot or cycle. I’m a rugby fan and have also been known to attend the occasional Formula 1 Grand Prix.
Looking further afield, I've always enjoyed stepping off the beaten track and have visited some of the more hidden corners of the world.
"I have been really pleased with how Irwin Mitchell have handled my case, especially my solicitor Glen Whitehead. He has handled my case both professionally and sensitively. I have been kept up to date at all times and been aware of everything that was taking place regarding my case, even when I was going to court I felt reassured at all times. I couldn't have asked for anyone better than Irwin Mitchell and Glen Whitehead thank you again for everything." - 5* Trustpilot review
"Glen Whitehead and his team delivered an excellent service from initial contact through to conclusion of a successful claim for my mother. She was treated with respect, listen too and advised clearly of all procedures in a way She could understand. Plain English rather than the complicated legal language. I sincerely would like to thank Glen again for his dedication to arrange early therapy, have a very understanding approach to her needs and the conclusion of a successful case." - 5* Trustpilot review
"...Glen has been my solicitor since January 2019 and has been my knight in shining armour... As a qualified physiotherapist prior to becoming a solicitor, I cannot begin to explain how immensely helpful it has been to me when Glen has taken the time to explain my injuries and the impact of them to me. His medical knowledge and the way he has explained things has at times been easier to understand than the explanations given me by my consultants..." - Read full 5* Trustpilot review
"Approached Irwin Mitchell through a trusted contact to discuss legal options and support following an accident. From start to finish the process was easy and straightforward. Irwin Mitchell representatives contacted at various stages to support the claim. The end result was both timely and positive. I appreciate the support of the Irwin Mitchell Team to resolve what otherwise could have been a difficult and draw out process." - 5* Trustpilot review
