I assist on a range of matters including Wills, Estate Administration, Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPAs) and Trusts (including Personal Injury Trusts).

Key highlights

• Helped a client to obtain over £250,000 worth of compensation for their Criminal Injuries claim in my previous role as a Paralegal in the CICA team at Irwin Mitchell
• Helped to draft a Will and statement under the Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependants) Act 1975

What inspired you to get into law?

I found A-level law to be highly engaging and intriguing and this was what truly inspired me to get into Law. I enjoyed the problem-solving nature of work and the intellectual stimulation. 

I also enjoyed the customer facing side of retail and speaking to individuals of all backgrounds (about anything and everything!) in my part-time role as a Customer Services Assistant whilst obtaining my Law degree so I knew a career in law would combine all of the aspects I enjoyed.

What is the most rewarding aspect of your role?

The most rewarding part of my role is knowing I am helping to make a difference in matters for clients, particularly vulnerable clients. Knowing I am able to play a role, no matter how big or small it may seem, to help people protect their loved ones and plan for the future is highly gratifying.

What do you like about working at Irwin Mitchell?

The best thing about working at Irwin Mitchell is working with like-minded, collaborative and friendly colleagues who are committed to providing an excellent service for our clients and also being there for each other. 

What do you do away from the office?

Outside of the office, I enjoy socialising with my friends over an iced caramel latte (no matter what the weather), reading thriller books, baking and investing in my personal wellbeing.
