What are the differences between libel and slander?

Can a social media post count as defamation?

A social media post can qualify as libel if it makes a false and harmful statement about someone.

You may still have a claim if the person deletes the post, because it may already have been seen, shared, or saved, meaning the damage is done.

If libellous content has been published in a blog post or website, we can liaise with website hosts/internet service providers to try and get the content removed.
