Two Experts From Legal Firm Announced As Winners

A pair of Cambridge-based lawyers have been commended for their work by scooping two Legal Excellence Awards.

Gurpreet Lalli and Rachel Frost-Smith of national firm Irwin Mitchell were among the winners announced by the Cambridgeshire and District Law Society (CDLS) at a virtual ceremony this week. Gurpreet was presented with the title of Junior Lawyer of the Year, while Rachel was named Lawyer of the Year.

The announcement was made over Zoom on Thursday evening, with a total of 15 awards “handed out”.

Gurpreet has been with Irwin Mitchell since November 2015, joining as a newly qualified solicitor.  She is an integral part of the Cambridge Medical Negligence team, having specialised in handling high-profile and challenging cases during her short time with the firm.  Her development led to her promotion to associate earlier this year.

Rachel, having joined the firm from Vardags in 2018, is a highly experienced Family Law solicitor. She is well-versed in handling complex children cases and high and ultra-high-net-worth matrimonial finance matters, supported by her background as a corporate tax lawyer.

The CDLS Legal Excellence Awards recognise the top law firms and individuals practising in the city of Cambridge and across the surrounding region.
