What We Do
Our banking and finance lawyers offer specialist advice to a broad mix of borrowers as well as most major UK banks and asset based lenders, overseas banks, debt funds and other lenders.
We can help with the negotiation and renegotiation of credit lines and other corporate banking facilities. As well as this we undertake a range of work for both lenders and borrowers, from relatively small bilateral loans, up to complex high-value cross-border financings and restructurings.

Why Choose Irwin Mitchell?
Our banking and finance lawyers regularly deal with both straightforward and complex transactions on behalf of lenders and major borrower clients. We advise major commercial lenders including: Santander, HSBC, RBS/NatWest, Allied Irish Bank, Bank of Ireland, Lloyds Banking Group, Deutsche Hypo, Macquarie Bank, Svenska Handelsbanken, ABN Amro Commercial Finance, Investec, Yorkshire Bank, Wells Fargo, Centric Commercial Finance and Close Brothers.
We also advise specialist debt funds such as Chenavari Investment Managers, ICG-Longbow and Lone Star as well as borrowers including Raven Russia, Prestbury, Max Property Group, Mercer Real Estate, Vantage Asset Management and the Mansion Student Accommodation Fund.
With vast experience of working on both sides of banking and finance transactions, we offer a commercially-focussed and efficient service to our clients. Our knowledge in this area allows us to spot problems quickly and to design solutions that work for borrowers, sponsors and lenders.
Commercial awareness underpins everything we do – our aim is to make deals happen, not find reasons why they can’t. We are prepared to agree fixed or capped pricing for the work required wherever possible, with staged or “milestone” pricing for more complex projects.
