Our Banking and Finance team has partners in London, Gatwick, Leeds, Manchester and Birmingham; and the teams have real insight into regional differences.
We can help with the negotiation and renegotiation of credit lines and other corporate banking facilities. As well as this we undertake a range of work for both lenders and borrowers, from relatively small bilateral loans, up to complex high-value cross-border financings and restructurings.

Recent Banking And Finance Work
- HSBC Bank plc: we have provided advice on a range of development and investment transactions. Recent highlights include a £39,516,000 investment facility for the acquisition of a shopping centre in Reading and a c.£33 million high end residential redevelopment in central London.
Castleforge: we advised on the acquisition of Mitre House, London EC1 and negotiated the pre-letting to DLA Piper UK LLP. We subsequently worked with our client to secure £108m of development financing for the property, provided by Deutsche Bank.
- Mansion Student Accommodation Fund: we advised on banking arrangements for this Guernsey OEIC, a protected cell company listed on the Channel Islands Securities Exchange. The firm has advised the Fund on a variety of debt finance transactions, involving total facilities of c£200m, including syndicated senior debt, bilateral loans with a number of clearing banks and bridging finance.
ABN: we advised on their provision of a £15m “off balance sheet” receivables financing facility to an automated vending machine business to mirror a similar facility being provided by an overseas financier within the asset based lender’s group.
Two new-start challenger “SME” focussed supply chain financiers: we have advised on their entry into the UK marketplace, including drafting all their standard facility and security documentation.
