Donations Highlight Ongoing Commitment To Charities Following Merger With Thomas Eggar
National law firm Irwin Mitchell is donating £5,300 to five charities in Chichester, London, Gatwick, Newbury and Southampton.
The donations celebrate the merger of Irwin Mitchell and south coast law firm Thomas Eggar and demonstrate the firm’s long-standing relationship with charities working in local communities.
Irwin Mitchell has a proud tradition of supporting charities and the Irwin Mitchell Charities Foundation has donated more than £1.25m to good causes since its launch in 1997. The firm also supports charities local to each of its offices as part of its Charity of the Year initiative.
The charities receiving donations are:
- Aldingbourne Trust, Chichester Donation: £1,000. The trust supports people with learning disabilities across Sussex and aims to help them live more independent lives.Chestnut Tree House, Gatwick. Donation: £1,300. Chestnut Tree House is the children’s hospice for East and West Sussex and south-east Hampshire and cares for 300 children and young adults with progressive life-shortening conditions.
- Haven House Children’s Hospice, London Donation: £1,000. The hospice has supported over 600 families looking after children and young adults who have life-threatening illnesses.
- Rose Road, Southampton. Donation £1,000. Supports families and children with complex heath needs across Hampshire.
- West Berkshire Mencap, Newbury. Donation: £1,000. The charity provides support, care, advice and guidance to people with a learning disability and their families and carers.
Irwin Mitchell and Thomas Eggar announced merger plans last year creating a £250m law firm ranked 11th in the UK with about 300 partners based in locations across the country.
