Lawyers React To Dangerous Journey Made By Cruise Ship
Personal injury experts at Irwin Mitchell react to a cruise ship being forced to return back to port early morning on Monday 8 February, following severe weather conditions where the ship was hit by hurricane-force winds on its way to the Bahamas from Cape Liberty.
Concerned passengers aboard Royal Caribbean's Anthem of the Seas said they were very upset that the ship sailed into 150mph winds and 40-foot waves despite warnings, and also reported furniture toppling over, windows being broken and plant pots being smashed during the ordeal.
Royal Caribbean apologised and said the ship's seaworthiness was not affected. They continued to say the weather was worse than forecast and that four passengers were injured, but none were seriously.
