Bristol Office Recognised For Commitment To Local LGBT Community
The Bristol office of national law firm Irwin Mitchell is celebrating once again after being named Law Firm of the Year at the city’s Pride Gala Awards on Saturday (October 31st).
Irwin Mitchell beat off competition from several other shortlisted firms to win at the inaugural Bristol Pride Gala Awards, which was held at the city’s Marriott Royal Hotel to celebrate the huge contribution that local businesses make to supporting the local LGBT community.
As well its IMEqual networking group supporting the Bristol Pride event for the past two years, Irwin Mitchell was recognised for providing legal advice to the community, as well as its ongoing relationship with the University of the West of England (UWE) in supporting LGBT students, and being Student Sponsor 2014/2015.
Representatives from the firm were also on the panel of the Bristol Stonewall conference on being ‘out in the workplace’, as an example of how an employer should handle such matters correctly.
The award comes after Irwin Mitchell’s Bristol office was also named Corporate Social Responsibility Firm of the Year at the Bristol Law Society Awards in the middle of October.
