Experts in Personal Injury Attended Highfields School Careers Day
Two specialist international personal injury lawyers from Irwin Mitchell’s Birmingham office have been providing young people in Wolverhampton with an insight into a career in law.
Solicitor Jennifer Downing and Paralegal Zoe Gask attended the event at Highfields Secondary School to offer help and advice to Year 9 pupils considering a career in law.
They were able to offer an insight into the legal sector, as well as providing advice on the route children need to take, in terms of their studies, to achieve a career in law.
Law is a very competitive industry, with over 20,000 students applying to study the subject at degree level every year.
Around 250 students and their parents attended the fair, which was also attended by a variety of businesses from the Birmingham area, public services and universities.
Jennifer Downing, an expert international personal injury solicitor at Irwin Mitchell, said:

“We really enjoyed the event and meeting the students and parents at Highfields. It was great to be able to offer our insight into the legal sector and the best way to go about building a career in the industry.
“Hopefully some of the students will seriously consider a career in law and even at Irwin Mitchell, where they may have a unique opportunity of specialising in the largest International Personal Injury department in the country.” Jennifer Downing - Solicitor
