Companies Fined Regarding Problems Identified
Two eateries in Ealing have faced temporary closures after a range of concerns were raised regarding conditions at each site.
The Kavah Café on New Broadway was closed by the local council after a customer complaint related to a live cockroach being seen at the site in August. It was subsequently discovered that the insects were in cupboards, while mouse faeces were also identified.
Operator Trishan (London) Ltd was ordered to pay costs in relation to the issue and was told to close its doors until any potential risk to health had been resolved.
In a separate case, Brothers Kebab on South Ealing Road was closed at the request of police after rat droppings were discovered in the kitchen food preparation areas, as well as dirty conditions throughout.
The business re-opened at the end of August after inspectors confirmed the safety of the site.
