Lawyers Took Part In Bristol’s ‘Santas On The Run’
A group 12 lawyers from Irwin Mitchell’s Bristol office donned their Santa suits to take part in the annual ‘Bristol’s Santa’s on the Run’ through the heart of the city at the weekend to raise vital funds for a local children’s hospice.
Money raised on the day will be donated to the Children’s Hospice South West which provides care and support for children with life limiting illnesses.
An Irwin Mitchell client, Ollie Lewis, who has a severe brain injury and cerebral palsy, receives respite care from the hospice and it has proven to be a real lifeline for his parents, Neil and Charmaine.
Ollie suffers a catalogue of disabilities as a result of his brain being starved of oxygen for so long during birth, including blindness, epilepsy and cerebral palsy, meaning he needs round the clock care.
The fundraising event took place this weekend with around 800 Santa’s taking part in the 2K run through the heart of Bristol to support local charities close to their hearts.
Ollie’s parents Neil and Charmaine, said: “The support we have received from our team at Irwin Mitchell throughout our legal action has been incredible. The proceedings for Ollie’s case are still ongoing as we battle for justice to secure vital rehabilitation funds for Ollie.
“We are so relieved and grateful that services like the Children’s Hospice South West are available as it provides us and Ollie with vital support and care when we need it the most.”
