The Manchester office of leading national law firm Irwin Mitchell has strengthened its team with the appointment of a serious injury lawyer.
Richard Biggs joins the firm from Ralli where he was employed for six years as an associate and serious injury lawyer, during which time he worked on a number of high profile cases across the country including an action against the police which attracted national media coverage and a multi million pound high court case aiming to set legal precedent.
Based at Irwin Mitchell's Quay Street offices, Bolton born Biggs who now lives in Timperley will specialise in complex cases involving clients who have suffered multiple serious and life changing injuries.
Commenting on his appointment he said: "It’s always been my ambition to help victims of serious injury get the justice they deserve so they can begin to rebuild their lives after a tragedy.
“I'm thriving from the challenges of working with Irwin Mitchell's highly skilled team and helping to bolster our regional and national reputation as a leading firm.”
A graduate from Essex University with an English and French law honours degree, Biggs qualified as a solicitor in 1999 after completing the Legal Practice Course at the College of Law in 1997.
Jonathan Betts, a serious injury specialist and partner at Irwin Mitchell, said: "It’s fantastic to have a lawyer of Richard’s calibre with such a wealth of experience as part of our growing team.
“His expertise in representing clients on a range of serious injuries will enhance our scope for undertaking work in the North West.”
