Two Men Killed In Incident
A workplace injury expert at Irwin Mitchell has called for the Health and Safety Executive to clarify the events leading up to the deaths of two men working on a Suffolk barn conversion.
The East of England Ambulance Service confirmed that both men died at the scene in Worlingworth yesterday after a gable end wall collapsed yesterday evening.
It is believed that both men were involved in restoring the 18th century building to turn it into housing.
Commenting on the reports, Irwin Mitchell’s accident at work claims expert David Urpeth said: “While very few details have yet emerged, I urge the Health and Safety Executive to ensure a thorough investigation is carried out into the accident.
“I particularly hope that the investigation will provide answers to the victims’ loved ones as to how and why this incident occurred.
“Such a tragic case highlights just how important it is for all companies to ensure health and safety is at the top of their agenda.”
