Insolvency services have more demand than ever
Law firm Irwin Mitchell has announced that specialist insolvency and restructuring Partner Chris Jones will bring his experience and skills to the Manchester office for the first time.
After qualifying as a solicitor in London in 1992 Chris joined Irwin Mitchell in 2002, and his services will now be available at the Quay Street office where he plans to develop this thriving practice area advising banks, insolvency practitioners and businesses in every aspect of insolvency and corporate restructuring.
His considerable experience includes being involved in a number of high profile cases, the most recent being the management buy-out of North West bakery business, Hampson and Sayers, in the summer.
Chris acted for the administrators BDO Stoy Hayward, assisting in all aspects of the restructuring of the company and management buy-out.
Now Chris is developing relationships with the leading insolvency practitioners and restructuring professionals across the region and helping to drive further expansion of the Irwin Mitchell presence across the North of England regional offices in Manchester, Leeds, Sheffield and Newcastle.
Chris explained: "In the current economic climate there is more demand than ever for our services. Our northern insolvency and restructuring practice has always had wide geographical reach but my role now brings a fresh focus to Manchester and the north west, where we will develop a team of insolvency and restructuring law professionals at Irwin Mitchell.
"I am also working to build even stronger links across the Irwin Mitchell offices in the North – Manchester, Leeds, Sheffield and Newcastle – so there is better recognition of our ability to meet the needs of clients and intermediaries across this wider region."
