What Are The Grounds For Same Sex Divorce?

From 6 April 2022, the law on divorce changed and no fault divorce replaced the old system.

The divorce/dissolution application contains a statement in which you confirm that the marriage has irretrievably broken down. You can now apply by yourself or make a joint application with your spouse.

Landmark Court of Appeal Victory For Woman Whose Ex Partner Who Hid £6m Assets In Businesses

The Royal Courts of Justice

Helen Roocroft discovered that her civil partner, who died intestate in 2013, had hidden assets worth millions of pounds in business assets during the dissolution of their relationship has won a legal battle at the Court of Appeal as she seeks to set aside the original “unfair” settlement.
