Workplace Injury Lawyers Representing Family Of Concrete Sprayer At Upcoming Hearing
An inquest into the death of a construction worker killed while employed on the Crossrail project in central London is to be held next week.
Rene Tkacik was 44 when he died on 7 March 2014 whilst working as a concrete sprayer on the project at Fisher Street, Holborn, London. He left behind a wife and daughter.
The inquest into his death is being held at St Pancras Coroners Court from February 23rd and is listed to run for ten days.
Chani Dhaliwal, a specialist workplace injury lawyer at Irwin Mitchell, has been instructed to act for the wife and daughter of Mr Tkacik at the hearing.
He said: “Mr Tkacik’s wife and daughter are devastated by their loss.
“They have a number of questions about the circumstances leading to his death and whether more could have been done to prevent this tragic outcome.
“They hope that the inquest will provide answers for them as well as highlight any possible shortcomings in safety that can be learnt from to prevent further deaths.”
