Medical Law Expert Welcomes Launch Of Facilities
Medical law specialists at Irwin Mitchell have welcomed the opening of the new £250 million Pinderfields Hospital in Wakefield, after HRH Princess Anne officially launched the site this week.
Whilst some services at the site have been open for around 12 months, the new hospital only fully opened its doors in March and the member of the Royal Family was on hand to unveil a plaque in relation to it.
Irwin Mitchell’s Medical Law and Patient Rights teams in Sheffield and Leeds, which act for a number of people of all ages who make use of the facilities at Pinderfields, have said the full launch is excellent news for the local community.
Suzanne Munroe, a Partner and clinical negligence specialist at Irwin Mitchell, said: “We work with families whose loved ones need a lifetime of care and rehabilitation and rely on physiotherapy and speech sessions like those on offer at Pinderfields.
“Several of our clients have even been heavily involved in the launch of the services at the site, getting a preview of all of the facilities that it has on offer.
“It is excellent news that the hospital is now officially open, as it is likely to provide a range of benefits to a huge number of people in and around the Wakefield area.”
