Man Suffered Burns In Work Accident
Fireman's Rehabilitation For Burn Injuries Continues
One year on from the 999 call that left fireman Grant Baugh with 15per cent burns he continues to receive regular treatment for his injuries.
The 29 year old was admitted to Pinderfields Specialist Burn's Unit in Wakefield on February 1st last year where he stayed for a month, undergoing skin grafts to his arms and torso.
His solicitor, Lisa Fairclough from law firm Irwin Mitchell said: "Grant is making good progress after what has been an extremely painful and traumatic year.
"He continues to receive treatment for his injuries including regular physiotherapy and deep tissue massages, as well as wearing pressure garments to aide with his recovery. Despite returning to work for the fire service he has not yet been able to return to full operational fire duties.
"We are in the process of pursuing a legal claim on Grant's behalf following an admission of liability from the South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Authority. Legal proceedings will be issued in due course."
