Irwin Mitchell’s specialist accident at work team has helped a man claim compensation after he was injured at work.
In January 2010, our client was employed as a car collection/delivery driver. On the day of the accident it had snowed and our client was asked to assist in clearing the snow from a car transporter. As he attempted to get off the car transporter, he slipped and fell onto the concrete plinth below the vehicle.
As a result of the accident, our client suffered a spinal injury, fractured ribs, a lung contusion, soft tissue renal injury and a psychological injury. Due to the severity of his injuries, our client was unable to return to work for two months which resulted in a loss of earnings.
Our client decided to contact Irwin Mitchell’s specialist accident at work team and one of our experienced solicitors, Kerry Hadley, was able to deal with his claim. Our client’s employer admitted they were to blame for the accident early on and with this, Kerry was able to secure the client £20,652 in compensation in a out of court settlement.
